Over the years, brainstrust has provided support and resources to thousands of individuals and their families. In this blog post, we will explore the impact of brainstrust's work last year and highlight some of their recent news and events. Brainstrust was founded by Helen and Peter Bulbeck with the goal of helping Megan Hill and others like her gain access to an intraoperative MRI brain surgery in the United States.

Helen was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2001, and throughout her treatment, she and Will struggled to find the information and support they needed to navigate the complex world of brain cancer. Determined to make a difference for others facing similar challenges, they founded Brainstrust with a mission to provide the support and information they wished they had during their own journey.

Since its inception, Brainstrust has grown to become a leading voice in brain tumor support, offering a range of services to patients, families, and caregivers. From providing personalized support and information through their helpline and online resources to funding groundbreaking research and advocating for improved care and support services, Brainstrust is dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by brain tumors.

One of the key initiatives of Brainstrust is their "Brain Box" service, which provides newly diagnosed patients with a comprehensive information pack containing everything they need to know about their diagnosis, treatment options, and where to find support. This service has been instrumental in empowering patients to make informed decisions about their care and has been widely praised for its impact.

In addition to their support services, Brainstrust is also committed to raising awareness about brain tumors and the challenges faced by those affected by them. Through their campaigns and events, they strive to educate the public and policymakers about the importance of early diagnosis, access to specialist care, and the need for more research funding.

Brainstrust's impact can be seen in the countless lives they have touched and the positive change they have brought to the brain tumor community. Their story is a testament to the power of determination, compassion, and the belief that together, we can make a difference.

Advocacy on community engagement, awareness growth and support

Brainstrust offers various ways for individuals and communities to showcase their support and to create a meaningful impact towards the lives of those suffering from brain cancer.

One of the simplest ways to get involved is by making a donation. Your financial support allows Brainstrust to continue providing vital services, such as their helpline, online resources, and Brain Boxes for newly diagnosed patients. Every donation, no matter how small, helps make a difference in the lives of those affected by brain tumors.

Another way to support Brainstrust is by fundraising on their behalf. Whether you're organizing a bake sale, running a marathon, or hosting a charity event, fundraising is a fun and rewarding way to make a positive impact. Brainstrust provides plenty of resources and support to help you plan and promote your fundraiser, making it easy to get involved.

If you're looking to make a more hands-on impact, consider volunteering with Brainstrust. From helping out at events to providing support over the phone, there are many ways to volunteer your time and skills to support their work. Volunteering with Brainstrust is a great way to make a direct impact on the lives of those affected by brain tumors while also gaining valuable experience and making new connections.

They also represent Brainstrust at events and help to spread the word about the charity's services and campaigns.

No matter how you choose to get involved, your support will make a real difference in the lives of those affected by brain tumors. By supporting Brainstrust, you're not just helping to fund vital services and support - you're also helping to raise awareness, improve care, and ultimately, find a cure for brain tumors.
